Derived from the word "Sattika" in Prakrit, sarees are long unstitched and unpleated garment which ranges from five to nine meters in length. A symbol of India’s legacy and rich heritage, its origin can be traced back to Southern India. It is also considered a sign of royalty as it has been worn not only by women of Indian households but also, air-hostesses and Maharanis (Indian queens).

Though sarees are just a single piece of clothing, they are draped over the body in amazing various styles according to regions.
