Salwar Kameez
Salwar Kameez is the second most popular dress after a sari. One of the oldest in traditional attires of India and one of the most favored, it is worn by women of all ages especially tweens and young adult women who find it quite comfortable.
Simply put, salwar kameez is dress suit that consists of kameez or qameez; a long tunic which is worn with salwar or shalwar; flared or tapered baggy pyjama-like trousers tied around the waist with the help of a draw string. This suit is paired up with a dupatta or chunni that is draped or wrapped around the shoulders. While the legs of salwar widen at the top and is narrow at the ankle, the kameez or tunic has open seams on both sides to give comfort and freedom while moving.

So much so that the likes of Jennifer Lopez, the former first lady Hilary Clinton and not to forget the talk show queen Oprah Winfrey have approached and worn the salwar kameez designed by the new breed of designers.
